Applied Research & Photonics, Inc.
Founded in 2003, Applied Research and Photonics, Inc. (ARP) is based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. ARP has demonstrated a number of products based on its proprietary nanotechnology. ARP technology received the prestigious NASA TechBrief’s nano-50 award in 2007 and 2008. ARP inventions have earned several patents (awarded and pending). ARP’s terahertz spectrometer, TeraSpectra, uses a high power terahertz source for high resolution spectroscopy. ARP is also developing nanophotonic integrated circuit (nPIC©), a chip based platform technology. ARP has envisioned a number of products based on its proprietary nanotechnology.
ARP is commercializing a Terahertz Spectrometer (TeraSpectra©). Terahertz technology provides the next generation capabilities, overcoming the so-called terahertz gap, with new spectroscopy applications in this spectrum range.
Another exciting product is the TeraScan© that allows depth profiling of biological tissues and non-metallic substrates in a non-invasive way.
